Keyword Bidding
from Davin Ogden- SEO Strategist
Keyword research for the purpose of keyword bidding
Performing keyword research is not only an extremely necessary part of building
your web pages and your niche but it is also a very important part of what is known as (PPC) Per Per Click.
Pay-per-click advertising can be an extremely profitable way to make money on the
internet. There are people that don’t even own websites but make a complete living from marketing other people’s products
through affiliate programs by bidding on specific keywords and paying a varied amount per click to get the customer to the affiliate partners
web page. Of course it isn’t only used for affiliate products but you can use PPC for marketing you own products, selling
real estate, etc etc. The list could go on for some time.
In terms of keyword bidding, in general, the more money that is
charged for a certain keyword or keyword phrase then usually the more money there is to be had in that product.
High prices on keywords are usually a good indicator that the product is popular
and also that people are making money from that product if they are willing to pay a fair amount per click to the offer.
But of course, as with all things “keywords”, you could be having far better results and paying much less through the use of proper keyword
research.
While perhaps using Overture Keyword, or to be more exact,
“overture keyword selector tool” may prove useful to some degree in researching keywords for websites, it will generally not
do you much good in terms of PPC when needing a good keyword bidding tool.
The same could be said for keyword research tools such as Wordtracker and perhaps
SEO Book’s keyword selector tool. For playing the pay per click game you generally need something a little more geared
towards analyzing which keywords are being bid on, and how much people are bidding, the click through rate etc. etc.
There is software that is created these days that is meant specifically for the
purpose of helping you with your keyword bidding. Some of these softwares in the early days didn’t seem to
live up to their promises, but these days you can find some very excellent programs with some of them being priced quite
reasonably.
The programs I’m referring to include software like Adwords Analyzer ($57), The
“Rich Jerk’s” X-Ray Domination, as well as a few other’s.
There has been a lot of hype built around the “The Rich Jerk’s” X-Ray Domination
software. It does have a great reputation for claiming to do what it does as well.
I should hope that it will and does if you consider the price tag of
$1497.00. A little steep I would say.
There is also a very reasonable alternative to X-Ray Domination that is said to
be just as good without the hefty price tag. This software is called Xtreme Conversions.
I really cannot recommend them or downplay them in any way. I
haven’t tried them out personally and it has become my bond to myself that I will never endorse or try and sell a product in which I don’t
have any personal experience with. Try looking around a bit and I'm sure you will find your favorite keyword selector
tool.
So with that, I suggest if you’d like to find out more about these products they
should easily be found in all types of Google searches using either their product names or through keyword bidding tools
etc.
